# Use this help center with AI

> Find current Atelier instructions, distinguish documentation from live studio data and give an assistant the right context.

This help center explains Atelier workflows. An AI assistant can read it to help you find a control, plan a workflow or understand a result. Reading these pages does not give that assistant access to your studio.

## Find the right guide

The documentation index is available at [llms.txt](https://help.getatelier.design/llms.txt). Use it to discover the relevant pages, then read the specific guide before answering a workflow question.

Useful starting points:

| Question | Guide |
| ---------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| How do I build or edit a board? | [Build a pinboard](/pinboards/build-a-pinboard) and [Editor controls](/pinboards/editor-reference) |

| What will my client see? | [Pinboard sharing](/pinboards/share-a-pinboard-with-a-client) or [Schedule sharing](/ffe-schedules/share-a-schedule-with-a-client) |

| How do I process a vendor's quote? | [Documents and vendor quotes](/projects/documents-and-vendor-quotes) |
| Which assistant can do this? | [Assistant capabilities](/ai/what-the-assistant-can-do) and [Limits](/ai/what-the-assistant-wont-do) |

## Give the assistant context

Name the project, board, page and schedule where relevant. Describe your desired result and whether you want an explanation or an action.

For example: “Using the Atelier help center, explain how to send the Living room board for approval into the Living Room FF\&E schedule. Give me the steps and the checks before I send the link.”

If the assistant is connected to Atelier, ask it to locate the records and confirm ambiguous matches before changing them. Example names in documentation are not records in your studio.

## Distinctions an assistant should preserve

* A source URL on an image is not a linked library product.
* Approving a reference image does not create a schedule product.
* A product's library price and a schedule row's job-specific cost are separate.
* Pinboard clients can comment and make decisions; shared schedules are read-only.
* Working-table columns, Excel export columns and shared-schedule columns are separate settings.
* Creating a public link does not deliver it to the client.
* AI Chat, the task-based AI teammate and the external MCP connector have different capabilities.

## Documentation and live data

Use documentation for workflow instructions. Use the connected studio for actual prices, record status, credit balances and project content. If a tool is unavailable, explain the manual route instead of claiming an action succeeded.

For answers, link to the specific help page and state what still needs checking in the app. Current subscriptions and credit balances belong in **Settings → Billing**.
