# Client feedback in the Inbox

> Every comment and approval from a shared pinboard, in one feed — and what to do with each one.

**Inbox** in the sidebar collects everything your clients do on shared
pinboards. It is the one screen where client feedback cannot get lost
behind a WhatsApp thread.

<Info>
  The Inbox isn't client-only. It's also where you hear about your own
  team: someone assigned you a task, replied on one, or reacted to your
  comment. Client rows and teammate rows sit in the same feed, sorted
  newest first — the icon on the left tells them apart.
</Info>

## The feed

Newest first. Each row shows the pinboard, who acted, and what they did:

* *A client approved: Ondé Sofa — Restoration…*
* *A client commented: Can we change fabric?*
* *A client approved: Flower Crown Pink Met…*

Approvals and comments carry different icons, so you can scan for decisions
and ignore the chat.

Selecting a row opens the detail: the item image, the comment, the date,
and **Open pinboard** to see it in context.

## Working through it

<Steps>
  <Step title="Deal with approvals first">
    If the pin was linked to a product, approval already did the work —
    Atelier adds it to the project's schedule and sets it to **Approved**
    for you, no extra step. It will start counting in the project
    Overview's *Ready to order* card. Only a plain image (a mood shot, a
    plan) needs nothing more; it was never meant for a schedule.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Then the questions">
    *Can we change fabric?* is a task, not a message. Turn it into one so
    it does not evaporate.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Reply where the conversation is">
    Open the pinboard and answer on the item, so the thread stays attached
    to the thing being discussed.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Clear the Inbox on Monday morning. It takes ten minutes and it is the
  cheapest way to find out that a client approved something three weeks ago
  that nobody ordered.
</Tip>

## What doesn't show up here

Only pinboards notify. A client viewing a shared **schedule** can look —
not comment, not approve — so nothing from a schedule share reaches the
Inbox. Accepting a **proposal**, **invoice** or **change order** doesn't
notify anyone either; check **Finance** for those, or look at the
document's own status.
