# Atelier Product Clipper

> A Chrome extension that saves a product into your library straight from the vendor's page, without leaving the site.

**Shipped — live on the Chrome Web Store as of 3 August 2026.**

Sourcing happens in a browser with fifteen tabs open. The **Atelier
Product Clipper** saves a piece into your product library from the page
you are already looking at — no copying the URL, no switching to
Atelier, no losing your place.

## Use it

Open a vendor's product page — the page for the specific piece, with the
finish or fabric you are specifying already selected — and open the
clipper.

It reads the page and fills in what it can find: name, brand, price,
images, dimensions, materials. Check the result, correct anything that
came across wrong, and save it to your library.

### Worth checking every time

| Field | Why |
| -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Price** | Sites show retail, sale and member prices. Make sure the number that landed is the one you mean. |
| **Brand** | Retailers sometimes put their own name here instead of the manufacturer's. |
| **Images** | It may grab a lifestyle shot rather than the product on white. |
| **Variant** | Confirm the finish or fabric matches what you had selected on the page. |
| **Dimensions** | Occasionally the packed size rather than the product. |

Vendor trade price, lead time and your own category almost never come
from the page. Add them while you still have the vendor's site open.

## Clipper or URL import?

Both do the same job. The difference is where you are standing.

| | **Clipper** | **Import from URL** |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------ | --------------------------------- |
| Where you work | On the vendor's site | In Atelier |
| Best for | A sourcing session, tab by tab | A list of links collected earlier |
| Steps per product | One | Copy, switch, paste |
| Several at once | One at a time | Paste a batch |

<Tip>
Use the clipper while you browse and the URL import for the links you
emailed yourself last week. They fill the same library.
</Tip>

## Notes

* The clipper saves into the studio you are signed in to. If you work
across more than one, check which before a long session.
* Products land in the shared product library, so anyone in the studio
  can specify them straight away.
* Search the library before clipping something you may already have —
  Atelier does not de-duplicate automatically.
