These actions are available in AI Chat and through the Atelier connector. Ask the assistant to find the existing record before changing it when names are similar.

Projects and phases

AI can create a project for an existing client and update its supported details, including name, status, dates, budget, delivery address and project hourly rate. It can create phases and change a phase’s name or dates. Try: “Move Maple Street’s Procurement phase end date to October 15. Keep the other phases unchanged.” Moving one phase does not automatically move the following phases. If you want the whole timeline shifted, specify which phases and confirm the affected dates. Check the resulting timeline. Create or identify the client before asking for a new project.

Tasks and checklists

The assistant can also update a task’s title, description, notes, priority and dates. Resolve ambiguous people or dates before saving.

Plan your day

Ask “What needs my attention today?” for a brief, then ask to add a task to Today, remove it from Today, or reorder your day’s tasks. Today is your personal plan; removing a task from it does not delete or complete the task. Ask “Which of my tasks have not changed in two weeks?” to find stale work. The assistant can propose tasks to remove or archive, but that proposal does not perform deletion or archival. Make the removal in Atelier after reviewing the exact target.

Track time

  • “Is my timer running?” checks your current timer.
  • “Start a timer for the Maple Street fabric review task” starts tracking against that task; its project is inferred.
  • “Pause my timer” freezes the clock without saving a completed entry.
  • “Resume my timer” continues the same entry.
  • “Stop my timer” saves the time entry and reports the duration.
Only one timer can run at a time. Stop an existing one before starting another. Review the saved entry and billable setting in Time tracking; stopping a timer does not create an invoice.

Clients, vendors and products

AI can search, create and update clients and vendors, add or update their contacts, and set vendor categories. Try “Add this sales representative to the existing lighting vendor.” Check the company match before creating another record. For products, ask it to search the library, extract information from a vendor URL, create a library product, or correct supported fields such as model, dimensions, finish and price. Ask explicitly to save a product: reading a URL alone is not proof that it was added. Check the exact variant and source. A library product and its project schedule row are different records. Specify whether a price correction belongs in the reusable product or the job’s schedule. See Schedules and sourcing with AI.
