Every project has a Tasks tab. The tasks are the same in all three views
— only the shape changes.
Board
The default. Four columns, left to right:
To Do → In Progress → In Review → Done
Drag a card between columns to change its status. Each column header shows a
count, and the + beside it adds a task straight into that status.
Use the board when you are running the week and want to see where work is
stuck.
Timeline
The same tasks laid out against dates, using their start and due dates.
Use it when you are sequencing work — checking that the joinery survey
happens before the joinery order, or that nothing lands during the client’s
holiday.
Tasks with no dates don’t appear on the timeline. If the view looks emptier
than expected, that is usually why.
List
A dense table: title, assignee, status, priority, dates. Best for reviewing
a lot of tasks quickly, or for a status meeting where you read down the
list.
Filter and sort
Two controls sit beside the view switcher.
- Filter narrows what you see — by assignee, status, priority or date.
- Sort reorders within the current view.
Filters apply to whichever view you are in, so you can filter to one
designer and then switch between board and timeline without losing it.
Create a task
New task, top right. A title is all you need. Everything else —
description, priority, start and due date, assignees, to-dos — can be added
later from the task itself.
Tasks don’t have to belong to a project. Anything you create from Home
without attaching a project is a standalone task, visible only in My
tasks.
