Planning is the default view and the one you live in while you are specifying. It answers what are we putting in this room without the commercial detail getting in the way.

The columns

Detail at the end of each row opens the full editor.
Lead time is deliberately free text rather than a date, because vendors quote it in incompatible ways. Copy what the vendor actually said. When you know a real date, put it in Est. ship on the Procurement view.

Grouping

Rows group by category out of the box — Decor (2), Furniture (8), Lighting (5) — with a count on each header and a triangle to collapse it. Collapsing everything except the group you are working on makes a long schedule manageable. Organize changes what rows group by; Columns changes which columns you see. Both are per view, so Planning can group by room while Procurement groups by status.

Editing

Click any cell to edit it in place. For everything at once, Detail opens a drawer with three tabs:
  • Details — image gallery, name, status, lead time, category, type, material, finish, dimensions.
  • Financial — vendor cost, markup, tax.
  • Procurement — PO, dates, tracking.
The image gallery deserves a mention: a product can carry several images, and the one selected here is what appears on the client’s schedule and PDF. Crop and Replace are there because vendor photography is rarely the right shape.

Working with several rows at once

The checkbox column on the left selects rows. With a selection you can change status or other shared fields in one action — useful when a whole room gets approved at once.
