Atelier exposes an MCP server, so Claude — and any other assistant that
speaks the Model Context Protocol — can work with your studio’s data
directly.
Settings → Claude & MCP.
The server
Works with any MCP client that supports remote servers with OAuth.
Connect in Claude
Start on claude.ai. Connector availability can depend on
your Claude plan and organisation settings. See Claude’s current
custom connector instructions.
Open connector settings
In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors.
Add a custom connector
Choose Add custom connector.
Add Atelier
Name it Atelier, paste the server URL above, click Add.
Authorise
Sign in with your Atelier account when prompted.
Enable it in a new chat
Start a new chat and enable the Atelier connector from the tools
menu.
If Atelier is not available in a conversation, check that it is connected
and enabled, then try a new chat. Your organisation may require an
administrator to enable custom connectors.
Connect in Claude Code
Then open Claude Code and run /mcp to authenticate the Atelier server.
Follow the browser sign-in prompts. See the official
Claude Code MCP guide.
What you can do
- Browse projects, clients, tasks, pinboards and schedules
- Search the product library and capture products from vendor URLs
- Build FF&E schedules and update item status, quantity and space
- Manage vendors, clients and their contacts
- Comment on tasks and update their supported fields
- Start, pause and stop timers
Things worth asking for
- What’s overdue across all my projects?
- Which items on the Birchwood schedule are approved but not ordered?
- Add these four products to the living room schedule — with vendor
URLs pasted in.
- Mark the dining chairs as ordered.
- Add Holly Hunt as a vendor with this contact.
- Start a timer on 123 Maple Street.
Capturing several products at once is where this earns its keep. Paste a
list of vendor URLs and let it import them, rather than fifteen round
trips through the browser.
What it will not do
Direct finance-document tools are not available over the connector. Use AI Chat inside Atelier to read or draft proposals, invoices, change orders and purchase orders. Project briefs and meeting agendas can still include payment reminders, and vendor-pricing tools are available.
The connector exposes a curated set of tools. It can read pinboard items
and create a public pinboard link, but it does not expose the full canvas
editing tools. It cannot remove schedule rows. Check the available tool
result rather than assuming every action in Atelier has a connector equivalent.
The connector also supports daily briefs, Today planning, meeting agendas and follow-up previews, project file search, and vendor pricing requests. See Project workflows with AI. For workflows that require a current-message file attachment, use Atelier Chat if your connected assistant cannot supply that attachment.
