Everything here appears on documents your clients and vendors read, or governs how money is calculated. Worth twenty minutes once, before you send the first invoice. Settings → Studio.

General

Studio name — shown at the top of the sidebar and on documents. URL slug — lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens.

Business info

Shown in the header of invoices and purchase orders. Studio logo — PNG with a transparent background, or SVG. Renders around 20px tall, so a square or horizontal mark works better than a full lockup. A live sidebar preview sits underneath. Show studio name in the sidebar — with a logo set and this off, the sidebar shows only the mark. With no logo, the name always shows.

Currency & locale

Currency, Date format, Timezone. Used across all financial documents and calculations. Set before you cost anything — currency is not a display preference, it is the unit every number is in.

Payment settings

Shown in the footer of invoices — how and when to pay.
The payment note is the cheapest debt-collection tool you have. An invoice that tells the client exactly how to pay gets paid sooner than one that makes them ask.

Invoice numbering

Assigned automatically in sequence. Prefix (letters and numbers only), Format (e.g. Prefix · Year · Number), Start from — for a new studio, or after migrating so your sequence continues rather than restarting. A live preview shows the result.

Procurement fee label

How your studio refers to the markup charged on schedule items. Used as the line-item name when an invoice is built from a schedule — so this is the wording the client reads next to your margin. Procurement Fee is the default; studios that describe it differently should change it here rather than editing every invoice.

Invoice defaults

Which optional columns appear on new invoices. Always visible: description, unit, unit price, amount. Then:
Markup (shown to client) is the one to think about before turning on. It is the difference between a client seeing Procurement Fee £4,200 and seeing exactly what you paid for every sofa.
Turning Brand & model off hides your sourcing from the client — dimensions and finish still show, so the specification stays readable, but the trail back to the supplier does not. Studios that have been disintermediated once tend to turn it off.

Member access

What team members on the Member role can see. Owners and admins always see everything.
  • Project budgets — budgets and budget analysis on project pages.
  • Schedule costs & margins — trade prices, markup and profit columns.
  • Finance section — whether Finance appears in their sidebar at all.
