What the assistant can do

Atelier’s assistant works with records in your studio. Its available tools depend on where you use it and which page is open. Start with Use AI Chat across Atelier for page context, attachments and reviewing results.

Choose the right assistant

For a background pinboard draft, create a project task and assign it to the AI teammate. See Build and edit a pinboard with AI.

Find and organise work

Try requests such as:

• “Which tasks are overdue on Maple Street?”
• “Create a task to confirm the chair fabric, due Friday, and assign it to me.”
• “Add a Procurement phase to this project.”
• “Find the vendor contact for the pendant light.”
• “Start a timer for this project.”

Name the project and the intended record when there could be several matches. Check that the assistant acted on the correct one.

Products and schedules

Ask it to search the library, import vendor product URLs, add products to a schedule or update quantity, space and supported status fields. Check imported variants, dimensions and prices against the source. When a schedule is open, AI Chat also has schedule-specific tools for working with its content and attached documents. If it shows a proposed change with Apply and Dismiss, review the values before applying.

Pinboards

With a board open, AI Chat can add and edit images, text and arrows; manage pages; crop, change image perspective when explicitly asked, erase and remove backgrounds; align objects; read and post item comments; and make item approval decisions when asked. It can remove board items as part of an explicit request. These edits join the open board’s editing history. See Editor controls and shortcuts for Undo and its limits.

Daily briefs, meetings, files and pricing

The assistant can prepare a daily brief, organise Today, review incoming messages, prepare meeting agendas, preview follow-up tasks, save and find project files, and track vendor pricing requests. These tools are also exposed through the connector; file attachments depend on the calling assistant. Vendor records also support categories such as Lighting, Furniture and Textiles.

Finance

AI Chat can read supported finance documents and create or update drafts. It cannot issue documents, record payments, accept agreements or edit documents outside draft status. For example: “Draft a client invoice from the living room schedule, then tell me the line count and total.” Check the draft in Finance before sending it.

Check the result

After a write, review the record and any error or incomplete-result message. An assistant’s explanation is not proof that the record was saved. For unfamiliar workflows, ask for a read-only explanation first. See What the assistant won’t do, AI credits and Use this help center with AI.
