Crop Crop — see all editor icons. Use Crop to change the visible area of a photo. Use Remove background to isolate a product. Use Pixel eraser to refine a cutout by hand.

Crop an image

  1. Select the image on your pinboard.
  2. Choose Crop in the item toolbar.
  3. Adjust the crop to keep the part you want, then apply it. Choose Cancel to leave without applying the crop.
  4. Check the result in the board, especially if the image is rotated or flipped.
Cropping does not identify the product or change its dimensions in the library.

Remove a background

  1. Select a product photo.
  2. Open Erase → Remove background.
  3. Wait for processing, then check that the product is complete: legs, edges, fringe and thin stems are easy to miss.
  4. Place the cutout over the other images to check how it reads in the composition.
Use a photograph of one product with a clear outline where possible. A styled room photo may need manual cleanup, and background removal is not guaranteed to isolate the piece you intended. Atelier reuses an available cutout for the same source image in your studio. Reuse does not incur another background-removal charge. A different source photo may need fresh processing. Check AI credits for recorded usage.

Refine with the pixel eraser

Open Erase → Pixel eraser. Adjust the brush and erase the parts you do not want. Switch to Restore to paint pixels back from the available original image. Choose Done to save, or Cancel to leave without saving this session’s edits. If you erase the whole image, Atelier asks you to restore some of it instead of saving an empty result. Use Reset or Restore, then try again.
Keep the composition at a realistic visual scale, but do not treat a pinboard as a measured drawing. Confirm actual product dimensions separately before specifying or ordering.

If the result is wrong

Try Undo while the editing history is available, restore edges manually, or choose a cleaner product photo. See Pinboard troubleshooting for import, image and export problems.
