Sharing is the point of a pinboard. The client opens a link in their browser — no account, no app, no PDF that is out of date the moment you send it.

Share it

Shared in the pinboard toolbar creates the link and manages who has it. Send the link however you normally talk to the client. It stays live — anything you change on the board is there next time they open it, so there is no re-sending.

What the client can do

  • Comment on an item — Anything specific: Can we change fabric?, I like this mirror!, dark one. The comment attaches to that pin, not to the board as a whole.
  • Approve an item — A clear yes on a specific piece, recorded against it.
Commented items carry a badge on the board with the number of comments, so you can see at a glance where the conversation is.

Where their replies go

Everything lands in your Inbox, newest first, labelled with the pinboard and the item — A client approved: Ondé Sofa, A client commented: Can we change fabric? Selecting a row shows the item image, the comment and the date, with a link back to the pinboard.

Turning approvals into a schedule

An approval is a decision. Add the approved product to the project’s FF&E schedule and set its status to Approved, and it flows into ordering from there — the project Overview will start counting it under Ready to order. Pins linked to library products make this quicker, because the product already exists with its price and vendor.
Send one room at a time. A client asked to approve forty items in one sitting approves none of them.
